How to do that?
Yama (individual discipline), Niyama (social discipline), Asana (postures), Pranayama (control of vital life force), Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration), Dhyana (meditation) , Samadhi (pure consciousness ) are the eight limbs of ashtanga Yoga.
Experience all of these limbs is the knowledge you get trough Yoga.
How to get there?
Through experience: experience of the waves of our mind and body to be able then, to go trough them safely, understanding what you really are.
Working on the physical level it will help us develop strength, flexibility and balance; qualities that will allow us to understand our own nature/true self and let us be free to access the pure consciousness (Purusasha).
